Windward Circle

Windward Circle is the main roundabout in Venice at the intersections of Main, Windward Ave. and Grand Blvd. It is believed to be the location of the old pumping station for the now extinct Venice canal system. It contains an interesting sculpture of a female torso in black marble, as well as a bike tree. Windward Circle is a common meeting spot for many urban social bike rides including being the starting point of the Venice Critical Mass. It is also tradition for rides to circle the roundabout several times before stopping at Windward Circle.
