It's always a good idea, not to mention Wiki policy, to stay away from personal opinion as much as possible. This is a great start, and here are a few ideas of what more to add:

  • Popular bike trails (this might, in fact, be better suited for the articles of each area)
  • Alternatives to cycling in the mountains (if there are any?)
  • MTB clubs
  • Bike shops that emphasize MTB
