Layouts
I'm still deciding the best way to lay out this page.. whether to to a long list with information in the page, or a series of links to the specific manufacturers... I think that the latter might work better...
- I say start with one page. We need more content, then the right page structure will make itself known. Alex 12:28, 18 April 2008 (PDT)
Website links
I like this idea better, feel free to delete the additional Specialized info.... good thinking RBI! E-rock 14:09, 18 April 2008 (PDT)
- Also, should we make all bike manufacturers names redirect to this page?? E-rock 14:11, 18 April 2008 (PDT)
Irony
My counting might be wrong, but only four of these companies actually do any manufacture.
- Are you making a reference to contracted manufacture of products, as opposed to in-house manufacture? SPOOK 16:34, 22 May 2008 (PDT)
- Such as, Easton makes virtually everything carbon... should we be then talking about diversified manufacturing, I'm pretty sure that most bike companies outsource to various specialty factories (even Easton) because of the costs involved with machinery and tooling. Of course, Cannondale would like you to think that everything they produce is made *by them* at *their factory* *in America*..... E-rock 16:44, 22 May 2008 (PDT)
- Triple Steve - two formatting things. In order to make a new title heading you can use two equal signs on each side - like you did with the three - just less. Or, when adding a topic to a talk page, click the "+" sign right next to edit - this will add the right heading with a topic of your choice, and it will do it at the bottom.
- It's also good form to sign your comments. To do this simple type four tildas in a row - like this ~~~~ and the wiki software will automatically sign your comment with your name and a time stamp . . . like this:
