Southern California
From ibikeu Wiki
"Southern California", aka SoCal, typically refers to the area encompassing the southern counties in the State of California: Imperial, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, Santa Barbara, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura. To the urban cycling scenester Southern California revolves around the underground bike culture in the Los Angeles Metro Area - the F.U.N. Zone. However, the cycling community in SoCal is far flung and diverse, and a cyclist in search of adventure will find it many times over in this region.

Victor Valley This refers to the combined, unofficial, metro-area that encompasses the upper-desert communities of; Victorville, Hesperia, Apple Valley, and the decrepit-ridden zones of Barstow and Adelanto. At one time considered a small-town, this entire area ballooned in housing and population due to people seeking more bang for their buck(enjoy the LA wages, but would rather commute long-distance to have more money). In short, a bedroom-community to the tee. Temperatures in this area could get up to 120 degrees in the Summer, and as low as 5-10 degrees during the Winter. Another disadvantage to living in this area is the ever-present, high-wind speeds. As far as cycling culture goes up here, there are small dislocated groups and individuals that barely even know of each others existence. Only one Rida, bentstrider, is known to live in this area. Come on up, if you're brave enough.
