History
It is believed that the first successful bike jousting occurred in Estonia (circa 1354) when there was a rampant bout of horse flu that left all of the jousting horses sick. Baron Von Horsvolveshod and Duke Archebald had a previously scheduled jousting engagement and because Archebald was unable to reschedule the competition they chose to joust using bikes instead. Given the excitement and danger, bike jousting quickly eclipsed horse jousting as the favored form of jousting in Estonia.
