Bike Build days are events in which people gather in a learning and constructive environment in order to construct freak bikes or other DIY bicycle projects.

Los Angeles
The Bikerowave
Official "Bike Build days" in Los Angeles began in December of 2007 at the Bikerowave, in Santa Monica. The first build day did not necessarily begin as a "training" day, per se, but rather a collaborative venture in experimentation. No one present had any prior knowledge of how to build a freak bike, but all were willing to learn. The first bike produced was The Flying Duchess, built by Spook.
Build days at the BRW are also used to generate donations for the co-op.

The Spokeeasy
The Spokeeasy is a condo in Chinatown owned by Brassknuckle. This is the primary building site and stabling area for the Los Angelopes. Build days are often spontaneous and not productive due to the copious amounts of alcohol drank.
In reference to Spook's tallbike ticket:
"If they start cracking down, does this also mean that the bike build day is a fully illegal activity, and might get raided???"
