The Acura L.A. Bike Tour is an annual fun ride that has become one of the largest bicycling events in the United States, if not the world. Inaugurated in 1995, the ride has grown each year to the point where it now attracts approximately 15,000 cyclists who take to the streets of Los Angeles on the first Sunday each March to ride in the early morning hours before the start of the Los Angeles Marathon.

The start time is typically 6 a.m.

An important appeal of the ride is that its route is entirely closed off to any vehicular traffic (just like the marathon) and intersections are staffed by LAPD officers and Explorer Scouts. A common misconception of the ride is that since the bike tour traverse the route of the marathon race, that it's distance is the same as the marathon: 26.2 miles. In reality the course has always been abbreviated to be about 21 miles in length.

Every finisher, regardless of time receives a finisher's medalion.
